NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership — Procurement (NWSSP-PS) on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is issuing this Prior Information Notice to advise the market of the health boards intention to enter the marker for a managed service contract for the perioperative department to include theatres, anaesthetics and recovery suite. The managed services is to include consumables, equipment and maintenance. It is important to note that this PIN is not a call for competition and as such you will need to express your interest in any future tender opportunity once the Contract Notice is published in OJEU and on Sell2Wales (approximately June 2019). It should be noted that this PIN invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this PIN exercise only, and it is not a pre-qualification questionnaire, and is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This PIN is intended as an awareness, communication, and information gathering exercise. The perioperative care directorate is one of the largest in the Health Board, with an annual revenue budget of 63 000 000 GBP and a workforce of 850 staff. The directorate manages 40 working Theatres annually delivering in excess of 33 000 operations. To support that there is an annual budget of 18 000 000 GBP to purchase consumables, disposables and prostheses.
