Exploration of new models of care for children looked after in Somerset. Somerset County Council is seeking to hear from organisations that might be interested in exploring new models of care, delivering flexible, bespoke and effective. Provision which meets the changing needs of children and young people throughout their time in care. Somerset County Council is reviewing the current provision of residential, fostering and semi-independent homes, and would like to consider ways to increase the sustainability of placements to prevent unnecessary moves, and the continuity of care when children have to move between provision. We want our children and young people to experience the right care at the right time, without experiencing disruption and/or drift in that care. As part of this process SCC would like to hear views from market providers about future options and is inviting organisations to attend a soft market testing event on 10.6.2019. Soft Market Testing Event: A Soft Market Testing event will be held on Monday 10.6.2019. Somerset County Council is inviting organisations to attend that might be interested in exploring these options. Somerset County Council is keen to hear feedback from providers as part of the wider consultation for these services. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset County Council to undertake a procurement procedure. This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity.
