Tender description

Lancashire County Council is seeking to commission a service that delivers high quality children's home placements for Lancashire Looked After Children. The service will provide 24 nominated placements in children's homes. These placements must be located within Lancashire's local authority boundaries or up to distance outside of these boundaries of up to 10 miles for mainstream placements and up to 20 miles outside of these boundaries for solo and complex placements. These Services will be delivered by up to three service providers, through 3 separate contracts. Dependent on the performance of the service and mutual agreement between the local authority and service provider the number of nominated placements as part of this agreement may be increased up to a maximum of 50 nominated placements in total. Lot 1: initially comprising of: — 1 solo children's home nominated placement, — 3 complex children's home nominated placements (in 2-3 bedded homes), — 4 mainstream children's home nominated placements (in 4-6 bedded homes).
