Tender description

Short breaks service provision for children with special educational needs and disability, enabling them to have time away from their families or primary carers, to relax and have fun. The service also provides parents and carers of disabled children with a necessary and valuable break from their caring responsibilities. Further information and a questionnaire can be found on the ProContract portal. The Contracting Authority (Southwark Council) is currently reviewing its short breaks service provision for SEND children with a view to commencing a tendering exercise in late 2019 or early 2020 for a new service provision to commence in October 2020. The current service consists of several contracts, which provide after-school care through youth clubs and holiday clubs. Referrals to the service are made either via Southwark’s Disability team or via self-referral. The Contracting Authority seeks feedback from service providers to help inform the upcoming procurement process and identify current and future opportunities in the market to develop and/or potentially remodel its service going forward. Interested organisations are requested to complete the questionnaire which can be downloaded from the portal and to return it to the contracting authority no later than Friday 14.6.2019.
