Grounds maintenance services

Tender description

This notice gives prior information of a forthcoming procurement process to establish a term contract or framework or both, for grounds maintenance services to cover Hampshire County Council (HCC), Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services, The Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire (for Hampshire Constabulary), and Schools within Hampshire, plus other named Authorities. Suppliers interested in this procurement are invited to attend a supplier engagement event hosted by Hampshire County Council. The purpose of the supplier engagement event is to inform suppliers of the aims, objectives and scope of the services; seek suppliers views on the proposed term contracts and framework; and elicit interest from suppliers in providing the service. The proposed grounds maintenance services term contracts and/or Framework Agreements are to cover a programme of grounds maintenance across a range of site types, including corporate, ambulance stations, museums and libraries, police stations, fire stations and schools. it is likely that both the term contracts and the Framework Agreement will be divided into lots, and part of the event will be to gather feedback on the structure of these. The scope of services includes: — mowing and maintenance of grass areas(gang, triple, pedestrian mowing), — maintenance of beds and borders, — maintenance of hedges, — maintenance and marking of sport facilities (rugby, football, cricket, hockey, etc.), — cricket square maintenance, — maintenance of jump pits, — application of herbicides, — removal of litter and leaves, — various minor works covered by day rates. The estimated annual spend is approximately 1 900 000 (GBP). If the preferred option is term contracts and a framework, these will need to be procured separately.
