The BBC has recently renegotiated its terms & conditions for staff and has committed to expand its current portfolio of health and wellbeing related services. We are developing options to build on our current provision for wellbeing. We are modernising and expanding our offering to reflect the demands of a creative 24/7 global media organisation of approximately 21,000 staff. The BBC would like to introduce a service for employees, continuing and fixed term contracted staff to be able to arrange and have a medical consultation, remotely, with a registered UK GP, either online or by phone. The service should allow appointments to be booked in advance by phone or through an online platform (app/web enabled) and to be able to have those appointments by phone and/or online at the individuals preference. Both platforms (phone/online) must be made available by the supplier. It should be possible to use the appointment booking service 24/7, and to have access to attending a consultation in a timely manner by phone or online platform. The BBC would like the availability for appointments be a minimum of 7am to 7pm and 7 days a week.
