Childrens Centres, Nurseries, Tropicana and Somerset Hall Building Cleaning Contract

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN ADVERT ONLY TO ESTABLISH MARKET INTEREST, NOT A TENDER OPPORTUNITY. North Somerset Council will shortly be tendering an opportunity for the Building Cleaning of the Councils 10 Children's Centres and Nurseries. In addition to this we will also be tendering a contract for the building cleaning of the Tropicana Event space and offices, the Bay Cafe and Somerset Hall in Portishead. Whilst these opportunities will be tendered together, due to the differing need these will be Lotted into two opportunities. Tenderers may choose to bid for one or both opportunities and will be able to win one or both. There will be TUPE implications. At this stage we are just interested in establishing the level of interest in either opportunity or as a combined opportunity. The value of the entire opportunity is estimated at £550,000 over the entire term of the contract (3+2 years). The Children Centres and Nurseries value is estimated at £400,000 and the Tropicana is estimated at £150,000 (this value is to be confirmed). With regards the event space, cleaning will only be required after an event. An events calendar for 2020 will be made available though this will be subject to events being added and cancelled, so will only serve as an indication. Therefore a flexible approach will be required. Timeline The contract start date is anticipated as January 2020. We intend to advertise the opportunity in July/August 2019. During the Live Tender process there will be opportunities made to view some of the sites, in particular the Tropicana Event space. Though Square Footages will also be made available for reference.
