Tender description

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration. West Midlands Combined Authority [WMCA] intends, without commitment to appoint any supplier, to procure modelling implementation services in the areas of strategic, tactical transport and operational modelling. The purpose of this PIN is to inform suppliers of a forthcoming opportunity. Supplier Framework Governance Management, though we are exploring options to internalise this activity or to obtain it through another services framework, responsible for quality assurance, version control and programme management. Perpetuation of PRISM5 — the current version of the existing West Midlands multi-modal strategic transport Model — comprising: (a) the on-going deployment of the PRISM model in the form it exists at the time the MIS supplier framework commences; and (b) the incremental development and updating of PRISM. Beyond-PRISM5 model formulation, construction, deployment, incremental development and updating, i.e. the model that will supersede PRISM5 and potentially also supersede CASM in time.
