Services associated with the Installation of traffic counters and analysis and interpretation of resulting data for County Donegal

Tender description

Donegal County Council is seeking to award a contract for Technical Services for the installation of traffic counter and the analysis and interpretation of results. The NTA (National Transport Authority) are currently developing a national database of traffic count data, which will be accessible to Local Authorities. This programme of works is designed to feed into this process. Guidance is provided in the following Appendices: • Appendix C - Survey Specifications • Appendix D - Template Guidlines • Appendix E - NTA Checklist • Appendix F – NTA Vehicle Classification Chart The proposed works are to take place at 51 locations within the county boundary of Co. Donegal The locations are separated into 5 Municipal Districts and indicative survey points are shown in drawings 738-001 to 738-005 in Appendix A. Suggested locations for each Municipal District survey points are given by way of Eastings and Northings in Appendix B. There is some scope for adjustments in on site location for security or safety issues. These adjustments shall be relayed to the Employer and the reasons for doing so as per 4.1(d) of the Scope of works.
