Residential Care Homes Stakeholder & Provider Engagement Event

Nottingham City Council and the Greater Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group are undertaking a review of residential and nursing care homes. This will lead to the development of a new service specification for services to be contracted from April 2020. Contracts will be awarded through a provider accreditation process. We are holding a stakeholder and provider engagement event to share with you the learning that we have undertaken and our proposals around the design of the new model. In addition, the event will inform providers of Residential and Nursing Care in Nottingham City about the forthcoming accreditation process and how to apply to become an Accredited Provider of Residential and Nursing Care (at the expiry of the current contracts at the end of March 2020). The accreditation process is anticipated to take place from September 2019. We want to use the event to: • Make sure that that our understanding of care home services is correct • Get feedback on our proposals around the new model • Jointly shape key components of the specification including; Developing independence, Supporting Inclusivity and Defining Outcomes • Informing Providers about the process of how to apply to become an Accredited Provider Keywords: Nursing , Residential
