Repairs to Unsafe Memorials at Bunhill Fields Burial Ground

Tender description

The Works will comprise of consolidation and conservation works to unsafe memorials within the historic Bunhill Fields Burial Grounds. The Works are scheduled to take place over an initial 3 years with the option to extend by a further 2 years, from 2019 to 2024 including the extension, and will be programmed in order of urgency based on recommendations derived from an independent inspection report. It is anticipated that the first annual Instruction will consist of work to around 76 memorials. Works will be instructed in the subsequent years following a further annual inspection reports (undertaken by others), and in order of priority established by the City's Authorised Representative. Additionally, ad-hoc work may be required at other memorial sites within the Square Mile. A map of these will be found within the Tender Pack found on the City's e-tendering portal CapitalEsourcing. The primary location for the Works is Bunhill Fields Burial Ground located in the London Borough of Islington but is owned and maintained by the City.
