Tender description

This Agreement between Hampshire County Council and Network Rail is required to facilitate inspections and maintenance of bridges over the railway lines which are owned by the local authority. Services are undertaken in terms of bespoke Basic Asset Protection Agreements (BAPA’s). These Agreements are produced and agreed between the 2 parties before each job is undertaken. This enables the Authority to carry out inspections and maintenance of bridges over the railway which are owned by the Authority. This contract has been awarded for a period of 3 years until 24.6.2022. Network Rail are the sole provider the Authority can approach for these services. The Authority has entered into legal works agreements and needs to continue to pay these at the agreed rate, and possessions for work can only be sought from Network Rail.
