Tender description

The Staffordshire Commissioner seeks to commission a Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Victim Gateway service for victims of crime, regardless of whether the crime has been reported to the Police or not. The service will comply with the victim code of practice, (currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Justice) which should come in to force early next year. Victim’s wishes and feelings will be at the heart of service delivery. The service will provide information, advice, guidance, signposting and one-to-one support to victims of crime as well as make onward referrals to specialist agencies such as domestic abuse, hate crime and sexual abuse. Partnership working with agencies, in particular those operating within the criminal justice arena, is an integral part of the support system for victims.
