This procurement is being run by EirGrid on behalf of SONI Ltd which is part of the EirGrid Group. Based on this criticality of SONI’s business a highly reliable service is expected. SONI’s business operates right across the island of Ireland, often in remote locations, so a robust and a resilient, reliable mobile phone service with a strong coverage profile is a critical enabler for day to day operations and development of the Power System across the island. While MVNO – Mobile Virtual Network Operator, are in scope they need to provide a clear transparent service offering which will be evident through their responses within the scope document. The successful Tenderer will have a robust Mobile Network underpinned by comprehensive service assurance arrangements. The key features of a mobile telephony service that SONI requires are: 1. A highly available and reliable service 2. Excellent coverage throughout Northern Ireland 3. Excellent coverage within SONI’s office buildings 4. A pricing plan that delivers value for money and includes a technology fund 5. Excellent support arrangements EirGrid intends to establish a single supplier framework agreement. The framework agreement period will be for an initial duration of three years with the option to extend annually for up to an additional two years, subject always to the satisfactory performance of the supplier.
