Suffolk County Council (SCC) is increasingly looking to support adult social care service users through the use of technology and connectivity solutions. SCC seeks to engage with the market to understand what is available and who may be able to support them to achieve their outcomes as follows: — increased use and uptake of technological solutions, — improved outcomes for users, — driving innovation in technology enabled care solutions, — better management of demand for services, — support the adult social care savings agenda, — embedding a culture in our workforce to exploit technology enabled care solutions. Initial ideas around the delivery mechanism include a fully managed end to end service (from identification of need to provision of a solution) or a blended approach with a supplier managing the provision and maintenance of solutions and SCC providing an assessment function, however SCC are open to other options and ideas. SCC may undertake further market engagement after the results of the questionnaire have been considered. It is anticipated the further market engagement will consist of 1:1 discussions held on 21st June, 26th June and 3rd July at Constantine House, Ipswich, Suffolk. Estimated total value 2:1 ROI, with an expectation to meet savings targets of 5 000 000 GBP over 3 years. Suppliers will be asked to demonstrate how they can achieve savings and value.
