Tender description

This notice is in relation to the contract variation of the Knoll General Medical Services Contract. This VEAT notice is to support the proposal to vary the Knoll’s General Medical Service Contract to encompass a redundant Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS); previously performed at Frodsham Medical Practice. In April 2017 The Knoll were the only bidder to the Frodsham Medical Practice APMS contract; and were subsequently awarded the contract for 5 years. Frodsham Medical Practice and The Knoll Surgery are co-located on the same site and have since merged their patient lists; effectively acting as a single provider of general medical services. NHS West Cheshire CCG’s Primary Care Commissioning Committee have proposed to merge both GMS and APMS in to a single GMS contract. This variation exceeds the 10 % tolerance provided for within the Public Contract Regulations and therefore the CCG is issuing this VEAT notice to fulfil its transparency requirement.
