Tender description

The service is to enable independence by improving the confidence of service users to make choices and take control of the services they receive and the way they live, through the provision of personalised and effective direct payments information, guidance, advice and support services. For full details please view the documentation available on the In-Tend website: http://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire on 24.5.2019 Feedback from previous consultation found people felt they have improved control, choice and greater wellbeing when receiving a direct payment however, people felt that there is a lack of awareness of what direct payments are, where information can be accessed including on-going information and advice, and a lack of understanding on how it fits with the person centred personalisation agenda. This service will deliver a bespoke and personalised service aimed at providing information, advice, guidance and support to people on all matters relating to receiving and managing a direct payment. The service will support people to have greater choice and control in meeting their assessed eligible needs therefore maximising opportunities for independence. The service will support people to employ Personal Assistants in Care and Support (PA) or buy services if necessary, as agreed within their personal support plan. The Council is conducting this procurement using the light touch regime in accordance with Regulations 74 to 76 Public Contract Regulations 2015. The total contract value if all available options are taken up is 996 000 GBP.
