Tender description

Since the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, Southampton City Council are required to reach the 2,3 % public sector target for apprentices with the organisation and to spend as much of our levy on apprenticeship training as possible. In order to do that, we need to award the delivery of this training to appropriate training providers. Apprenticeships will vary depending on length, topic, cost, delivery style. There are a number of apprenticeships we are currently utilising and more to be taken advantage of in the future. Southampton City Council (SCC) are looking to establish a dynamic purchasing system with training providers who can deliver apprenticeships on behalf of the Council for both new and existing staff. SCC are looking to create a new DPS specifically for apprenticeships that ensures all binding documents are appropriate and that the awarding process is in line with funding regulations and allows for the intricacies of apprenticeship delivery and funding.
