Construction work for multi-dwelling buildings and individual houses

Tender description

Construction of 30 New Homes at Site C, Ockford Ridge, Godalming, Surrey. Waverley Borough Council is currently undertaking substantial, self-funded investment in its Ockford Ridge estate in Godalming, Surrey. The next phase of this significant investment in social housing, known as Site C, is ready to be brought forward within the next 24 months. The Council is therefore looking for a high quality design and build contractor to undertake the next stage of regeneration at Ockford Ridge. This will be the development of 30 new-build, affordable living units. The development comprises a mixture of both 1 bedroomed flats and 2 and 3 bedroomed houses, along with associated parking and landscaping and will have a value of around 5 500 000 GBP — 6 000 000 GBP. The tender will be run via the restricted procedure. The selection stage will involve use of the standard PAS 91:2013+A1:2017 selection questionnaire to pre- qualify suitably experienced contractors. Following this, a maximum of 5 contractors will be invited to tender stage. Indicative dates (All dates are subject to change): SQ (1st stage) — September — October 2019 ITT (2nd stage) – January — February 2020 Award — April — May 2020 Start on site — No earlier than November 2020 Finish — End of January 2022 (14 months in total) tender responses will be welcomed for both traditional and alternative methods of housing construction (timber-framed), modular proposals will not be accepted.
