Tender description

Dublin City Council proposes to establish a 4-year multi party Framework Agreement for the supply and delivery of plant and equipment to Dublin City Council’s Parks and Landscape services division. The framework will be in 4 lots. Lots 1, 2 and 3 will be a maximum of 5 suppliers per lot, subject to receiving sufficient number of valid tenders. Lot 4 will have a maximum of 8 suppliers. Tenderers can apply for, and be successful in, 1, several or all lots. The lots are: 1)Tractors; 2)Tractor mounted equipment; 3)Mowers; 4)Miscellaneous. It is emphasised, Dublin City Council makes no guarantee of the volume of supplies to be sourced under the Framework Agreement. This lot primarily covers agricultural tractors, however it may also be used, on occasion, for compact tractors (<30 H.P. with no cutting deck), utility terrain vehicles (UTV/SxS) and similar as required. Generally the tractors required will be between 50hp and 120hp, with 3 pt linkage, hydraulic lift with automatic pick-up hitch, live P.T.O., dual clutch, attachments to operate 4-6 tonne trailer with hydraulic breaking system, heavy duty agricultural pneumatic tyres (approx 14,5 in wide x 28 in high), manufacturers safety cab, flashing beacon located in a position not higher than the height of the cab and in a location generally visible, comply with requirements of the Road Traffic Acts (including vehicle registration), tool kit, 1 No passenger seat (comfortably accommodating the passenger and causing no obstruction to the driver), safety belts, a safety cut off switch, and reversing warning alarm. On occasion optional variations may be required e.g. a front loader, etc. The members of this lot will be ranked 1-5. This lot is for any tractor mounted equipment such as (but not limited to): trailed mowers, sprayers, fertilizer distributors, leaf blowers, etc. Trailed mowers will include cylinder, rotary and flail types, generally requiring cutting widths ranging from 1 200 mm to 5 000 mm, with variable cutting heights. There will be requirements (on occasion) that the equipment are suitable for use with <30 H.P. compact tractors. Mounted sprayers — with capacities ranging from 200 litres to 800 litres, with 50 m hose, reel and hand lance or boom and guidance casters (size dependent), occasionally requiring a winged option. Fertilizer distributors — with hopper capacity of 200 litres to 1 000 litres. Leaf blowers — PTO driven, suitable for use with compact tractor. The members of this lot will be ranked 1-5 This lot is for various non-trailed mowers such as ride-on/tractor mowers, pedestrian and stand-on, etc. Ride — on/ tractor mowers — ranging between 20hp – 30hp, with 1 500 mm – 3 000 mm cutting width. Pedestrian mowers (push and self propelled) — cylinder and rotary, with cutting width ranging between 18” – 60” and include grass box. HP ranging from 5hp – 12hp as applicable. Stand-on mowers — self propelled, rotary. The members of this lot will be ranked 1-5. This lot is for any other requirements not covered by the other 4 lots and includes: — top dressers, — trailers, — wood chippers, — electric pallet trucks. The members of this lot will be ranked 1-8
