ACL: Sustainability & Building Services for Malmains Drive, Frenchay

ACL are working with South Glos Council to prepare a detailed planning application for a development site in Frenchay. The site is 0.89 Ha is size and located within a residential area of North Bristol. South Glos have held the site for several years and allocated it as a school site. With the recent redevelopment of the former Frenchay Hospital a site for a 420-place primary school site has now come forward so allowing this site to be used for residential redevelopment. The scope of this appointment will be the following: • Detailed design for building services for delivering South Gloucestershire's requirements for sustainable construction including on-site renewables • Advice to the team on building form, location and size of windows and U values to deliver low cost, low energy homes • On- site street lighting design • Sizing of incoming statutory services and negotiations with suppliers to include location of infrastructure, cost of connection etc
