Tender description

Newcastle City Council Facility Operations Team require a specialised Software for our school catering, welfare catering and caretaking / cleaning. The preferred supplier will be required to supply, install, train and implement complete systems, including both the software and tablets /devices. The software modules are to be web based and hosted via 4G / 5G or equivalent. Our current school catering portfolio has 82 schools, including nursery, primary, secondary and middle, each school has a production kitchen offering cooked from fresh meals from a 3-week cycle menu, producing approx. 3 million meals per year. Welfare Catering has 3 Resource Centres, each centre has its own production kitchen at one of the Resource Centres we prepare and cook the meals for the centre service users along-side this we also produce the meals for our Meals at Home clients from the kitchen. Caretaking and Cleaning services are delivered to 82 schools and approx. 150 Public Buildings across the City. We employ approx. 1400 staff many of which are multi post holders working across all service delivery areas. The initial contract length is for 45 months with 2 x 12 month options to extend. The contract will commence November 2019 for implementation as the Council requires a go live date of January 2020. Keywords: school meals, cleaning management , kitchen management system
