Supply of Buoy Maintenance to the Port of Ramsgate

Tender description

Thanet District Council is seeking to select and appoint a suitably qualified contractor to undertake Buoy maintenance for the Port of Ramsgate. Service is anticipated to commence 1 July 2019 and will include a schedule of inspection, cleaning and refurbishment of the 13 buoys that are the responsibility of the Port of Ramsgate as the Local Lighthouse Authority. All equipment deployed must be to the most up to date criteria laid down by the General Lighthouse Authority and that the characteristics of these aids to navigation must comply with Guidelines and Recommendations as laid down by the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of an open tender. All tenders will be accepted subject to the tenderer providing suitable responses to grounds for Mandatory and Discretionary Rejection and that the minimum standards are met as set out in the Invitation to Tender document. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria as set out in the Invitation to Tender document. All procurement documents are attached to the notice and available for suppliers to download at the Kent Business Portal (www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk) and complete according to the instructions contained. Any clarifications or questions must be submitted via the discussions area of the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00 hrs Monday 3 June 2019. Completed tender documents must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00 hrs on Monday 10 June 2019.
