Tender description

The Substance Misuse Service Bidder Event is to be held on the 8th of July and comes on the back of the first Engagement Event Held at the beginning of May 2019. The first event provided some extremely interesting and useful feedback from potential bidders discussed on a one to one basis, which will certainly help shape our ideas going forward. The event will consist of a further introduction to the Commissioners and procurement team, an overview of the key points of the draft specification, projected contract value and outcomes, and confirm the planned procurement timetable which is now likely to be a two stage process. The last hour of the event will be allotted to networking time for attending organisations and commissioners will leave at this stage. Despite the size of the contract lending itself to a larger provider, smaller specialist providers should still find the event extremely useful and we can confirm we will be accepting prime provider or consortium bids consisting of more than one organisation. The event also gives providers a further opportunity to influence the final specification which will not be published in its final version until September 2019 with the ITT.
