Tender description
The service is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced supplier of leisure software. Please see ITT for full description. Wirral Council currently operates a number of leisure centres across the Borough primarily under the Invigor8 brand. Coupled with this the Council also operates 4 golf courses, a pitch and putt course, a marine lake, and a sports development unit. The service is currently under a strategic review and future delivery may change as a result of the outcome of this review (anticipated 2019). Facilities/activities are available through a Direct Debit membership scheme and through pay and play options under the Invigor8 brand. A copy of the fees/categories can be found in appendix B. The Invigor8 brand and overall branding of the service is part of a review currently and there is the potential that this brand may change. Marketing of the facilities and activities is also currently outsourced to a third party provider. The facilities attract in the region of 3 000 000 visitors per annum. There are in the region of 380 exercise classes a week, 15 000 direct debits collected monthly (as at May 2018) which has increased from 9 500 in January 2015 and the service generates income in the region of 8 000 000 GBP per annum. Access to facilities is predominantly through staffed reception areas and there are further internal control access points in some of the recently refurbished facilities at The Oval, West Kirby and Guinea Gap. There are a number of approved capital projects for the financial year 2019-2020 which will see upgrades at the following facilities: — new reception area at West Kirby Concourse, — new reception area at Guinea Gap, — complete facility upgrade at Bidston tennis centre, — introduction of soft play — (facility to be confirmed). The service is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced supplier of leisure software.
