Section B: scope The University of Nottingham is seeking a solution to deliver digital preservation capability and technology to the University of Nottingham Libraries and enable us to implement our Digital Preservation and Access Policy http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/manuscriptsandspecialcollections/aboutus/policies/collecting.aspx Digital preservation forms one strand of a transformative integrated scholarly information project taking place across the libraries. The aim of this particular strand of work is: — to safeguard the University’s digital information assets, — to ensure their authenticity, reliability and integrity, and — to monitor their usability over time, taking appropriate action, — to protect usability according to best practice and technology available. The contract will be for 3 years.
