Requirements for the provision of a third party certifier and quality assurer of Free Running Explosive Detection Dogs (FREDDs). The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSARC) are inviting interested parties to a market engagement event on 18.6.2019 at their Gatwick Offices for Provision of a third party certifier and quality assurer of free running explosive detection dogs. This provision is regulated by the UK National Aviation Security Programme (NASP). To maintain standards and certify new dog and handler teams, CAA are looking for certification and quality assurance to be carried out by a third party accredited by the CAA. The event’s aims to provide potential suppliers with an overview of requirements and for the CAA to understand solutions and capability currently in the market. The session will be interactive, and places are limited to one representative per organisation. Following the Market Engagement Event day CAA will then determine an appropriate sourcing strategy. Please note any potential successful bidders will be subject to UK National Security Vetting.
