We have an ageing and complex storage and backup environment that we need to refresh and simplify over the coming 5-year period. We would prefer to make best use of the equipment that we have already invested in, that has residual supportable life and we need to do this with low risk to data and whilst protecting service delivery and system uptime. Note: We are not stipulating that existing kit must be included as part of the plan, only that we would like to do that if it is part of an effective solution going forward. There are of course many other challenges and detailed components that will need to be addressed as part of this procurement and these will be made clear throughout the process.
