Market Event for Homecare and Extra-Care Services

Medway Council are holding an interactive market event for the re-commissioning of Homecare and Extra-Care services – ‘Support to Live At Home’. The event will be held on 10th June 2019, from 13.30 until 16.30, at the St George’s Centre, Pembroke Road, Chatham Maritime, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4UH. The event is aimed at all current providers and potential providers of domiciliary care. During the event, we will outline our initial thoughts for the commissioning of ‘Support to Live At Home’. Providers will have an opportunity to influence plans and shape our commissioning approach to ensure the residents of Medway are able to live at home for as long as possible. We will be running a series of interactive sessions throughout the event and ask providers to participate and share their thoughts. The interactive sessions will be on: 1. Outcomes and strength based approaches – Outcome monitoring and reporting tools 2. Performance based incentives – Incentive models 3. Basket of Hours - The co-design of care packages, utilising an individual’s ‘basket’ 4. Voluntary and Community Sector – Overlaps and partnership approaches 5.
