Tender description

An electronic solution which allows patient’s PSA (blood test) levels to be monitored, but also allows patients’ access to the system via the patient portal. BCUHB are keen to engage with suppliers that are able to support the delivery of an electronic solution which allows for the following to take place: — automatic tracking of a patients PSA result — via automatic population with other systems in place, e.g. integration with LIMS and other Welsh patient administration systems, this must allow for results to be available in real time, — red flag results that are outside of agreed threshold and the system must be able to record threshold by individual patient, — system must have the ability to list patients in order of PSA test date, — access for both patients and clinical staff to the patient record, — generate patient letters “normal result” “patient reminder”, — meet the national metadata standards, SNOMED CT, HL7 FHIR, — meet existing NHS Wales Data Dictionary standards, and have the flexibility to be configured to incorporate future changes, — to support the streamlining of working practices by removing “paper” from the system, — provide a detailed audit trail of all access and updates to patient results/records.
