Tender description

The City of London Corporation (the City) invites tenders for the provision of Repairs to Unsafe Memorials at Bunhill Fields Burial Grounds. The duration of the contract is three (3) years, subject to the right of the City (at its sole discretion) to exercise its right to extend the contract by up to two (2) years. The maximum length of the contract is therefore five (5) years. The works comprise consolidation and conservation works to unsafe memorials within the historic site, Bunhill Fields Burial Grounds. The works are scheduled to take place over an initial 3 years with the option to extend by a further 2 years, from 2019 to 2024 including the extension, and will be programmed in order of urgency based on recommendations derived from an independent inspection report. It is anticipated that the first annual instruction will consist of works to around 76 memorials and tombs located within 2 areas of the memorial site. Works will be instructed in the subsequent years following further independent annual inspection reports. Instructions to undertake such Works may be issued annually, or for a lesser period at the City’s discretion. Additionally, ad hoc work may be required at other memorial sites within the Square Mile.
