Tender description

There is currently no portable capability to perform maintenance, such as changing the gun barrel, in the field. The previous tripod had to be taken out of service in 2010, as it was not compliant with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) legislation and was not been replaced. The requirement is to provide a crane that can be used to change gun barrels in the field, which is portable and can be assembled by one person. This will reduce the current potential resource burden (current capability utilises a minimum of 1 vehicle and 3 personnel).
