Tender description

The Secretary of State for Defence (the “Authority”) intends to enter into a contract with Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing UK Limited (“Ontic UK”) for the procurement of spares, post design services and repairs to support a variety of avionic equipment used on Hawk, Chinook, Gazelle, Tucano, Wildcat and vintage aircraft operated by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The contract has an estimated value of 6 800 000 GBP and a duration of 2 years (+ option to extend for 1 year). The avionic equipment in question is limited to: — GE Aviation manufactured avionic equipment for which Ontic UK has proprietary legacy capability, — Avionic equipment originally manufactured by Penny and Giles Controls Ltd, Racal Acoustics Ltd, Ultra Electronics, Honeywell International Inc., Thales UK and Eaton Aerospace Ltd. In each case, according to the Authority’s understanding, Ontic UK is the sole licensee for manufacture and support of the relevant equipment.
