This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) only: publication and call for competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved. Invitation to attend an Early Market Engagement Event: UK's Department for International Development (DFID) intends to seek the services of a supplier or a consortium of firms under a lead supplier for a strategic and proactive deployment of DFID India’s technical assistance (current, planned and prospective) in support of its existing and evolving Development Capital (DevCap) portfolio. Please note the original contract has an anticipated budget of 23 000 000 GBP over 8 years. This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) only: publication and call for competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved. DFID will be seeking the services of a supplier to deploy the consolidated TA in support of various DevCap programmes in a way that helps achieve individual programme objectives but also other cross cutting and overarching outcomes. Broadly the outputs for the combined DevCap TA would be: — Project Specific Support: Faster and more effective delivery of DCI projects’ outputs and results, — support to address wider market and policy failures leading to improved ecosystem for: (i) private sector contribution to development outcomes; and (ii) effective delivery of outputs and results of DFID DevCap portfolio, — corporate: monitoring, lesson learning and dissemination Produce data and information to support reviews, evaluations and decision making. This would entail the Supplier to work with the following amongst others important stakeholders: — Government ministries — Central and State, — government sponsored autonomous institutions such as: —— SBICap Venture Ltd (SVL), IDFC Ltd, —— National Housing Bank (NHB), —— National Infrastructure and Investment Fund (NIIF), — all fund managers, — investee companies; employees; suppliers, — businesses, business organizations including from the informal sector, — NGOs, — marginalised communities: tribal peoples, lower caste groups, minority groups (including minority faiths), illiterate people, slum-dwellers, people with disability, — development agencies, — financiers, investment community, — consultants/subcontractors. Initial value of this procurement will be about 23 000 000 GBP, however we are working towards flexibility that will enable the contract to absorb further TA of pipeline/prospective. The proposed initial period for contracting is 8 years. A Suppliers Early Market Engagement Event is planned at British High Commission New Delhi, India for the Thursday 7th of February at 3:00 p.m. (local time) 9:30 a.m. (UK time) Suppliers will have the flexibility to join from Abercrombie House via VC.
