Provision of Neuro Developmental Assessments

NELFT Waltham Forest (WF) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) delivers mental health services for children and young people in Waltham Forest. It is part of an integrated Childrens Services approach promoting good physical and mental health. As part of our local transformation plan, a shared vision across commissioner, provider education and social care, early identification and intervention has been central to how Child mental health needs is being addressed in the borough. Demand for neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis is high and there are currently long waiting times for assessment. NELFT wishes to obtain some interim extra capacity to provide assessments and diagnostics to manage this back log and to reduce waiting times.
