Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery and installation of a Plasma Cleaner System to remove carbon contamination of the 5 Electron Microscope chambers as well as SEM samples and TEM sample rods outside the Electron Microscopes, for the Electron Microscopy & Analysis Facility at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork. The Electron Microscopy and Analysis Facility at Tyndall analyses a wide range and large number of samples using a suite of electron microscopes, currently consisting of 2 SEMs, 2 DualBeam FIBs and 1 TEM: FEI Quanta 650 SEM, Zeiss Supra 40 SEM, FEI Quanta 3D 200i DB-FIB, FEI Helios Nanolab 600i DB-FIB and JEOL JEM 2100 TEM. High quality, high resolution, repeatable imaging is required. Tyndall therefore has an interest in acquiring a plasma cleaner to remove carbon contamination of the 5 EM chambers as well as SEM samples and TEM sample rods outside the EMs. The systems must be versatile and allow for upgrades as our needs change.
