Why the Work is Being Done We wish to consolidate sources of historic land use data to facilitate decision making with boundaries, road design, long term management of land and accuracy of land registration. Users will access this service for historic land use. The service must be ready within a month of awarding the contract and cover England (and 2km buffer). Problem to Be Solved Access to spatial data/mapping (eg OS Historic Mapping): 1. Access via a web service, within GIS tool specifically Esri Portal v10.3 (and future versions) and ArcMap 10.2 (and future versions); 2. Queryable web service to return attribute data on Scale, Epoch/Date and unique reference; 3. Separate digital copies to allow for storage in evidence files, web service and copies will allow easy matching between the two; 4. Web service with password and username management for multiple companies; 5. OS mapping to cover England with a 2km buffer; 6. OS mapping to cover scales from 500 and above, where coverage allows Who Are the Users Access for Highways England employees through GIS portal, HAGIS, in order to relate to other spatial data; to enable investigation into past land usage. Access to be restricted by password and user accounts. Early Market Engagement None Work Already Done Existing Team Team will need to work with IT providers in order to integrate service with company GIS Portal. Current Phase Not started Work Location No specific region- they can work remotely. Working Arrangments Service and data should be ready to access once delivery requirements are discussed and agreed.
