Tender description

The Marine Institute requires a suitable replacement Dynamic positioning system for its Resesarch Vessel RV Celtic Explorer to support its Marine operations . The supply will be a replacement of its existing SDP 11 DP0 system General: A DP system utilising the Celtic Explorers existing sensors and reference systems , existing Single fixed pitch propeller , Rudder , aft tunnel thruster and forward Gill jet is required . The system should meet the requirments of Lloyds DP (UM) at a minimum . An option to meet the requirmemts of Lloyds DP (AM) (Equivalent to Dynamic positioning class1) can also be provided. A full technical description is available in the attached Invitation to Tender document.
