Design Supplementary Planning Document

Tender description

We are seeking expressions of interest for the production of a district wide design supplementary planning document (SPD) for Aylesbury Vale working in collaboration with Council officers to take the document through to adoption status. The primary objective of the design SPD is to complement the design policies in the emerging Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan in order to positively influence decision taking on future development across the Vale and better support and promote design-led and locally distinctive development. It should seek to raise the bar on design quality and include guidance for place shaping as well as detailed design matters and to identify and build on qualities sought within the Aylesbury Garden Town. The SPD to be produced should be a user friendly document with a strong graphical emphasis and a focus on delivery and implementation.
