Tender description
Winchester City Council (the authority) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced building contractors who wish to be considered for the demolition of a former residential garage and the construction of new affordable homes. The works will consist of the demolition of existing Garage 1 East Garage Block 1 -14, Rowlings Road, Winchester, SO22 6HH. The Construction of three 2-bedroom homes and four 1-bedroom flats with associated car parking, cycling and bin storage. Full Planning consent was granted in January 2018 and can be viewed at: https://planningapps.winchester.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=P2SV27BPMW300&activeTab=summary Anticipated budget for the scheme is 1 300 000 GBP, works are to be executed under a 2016 JCT Design and Build Contract. Works are anticipated to commence in early 2019, with an estimated construction period of 12 months. This exercise is only to gather expressions of interest for the formal tender process, which will follow.
