Tender description

Supply and delivery of portable POCT blood gas and blood chemistry analysers including the supply of reagents and consumables to the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust intends to award a contract for the supply and delivery of portable POCT blood gas and chemistry analysers including the supply of reagents and consumables to Abbott Laboratories Ltd. The goods could previously be provided only by Abbott Laboratories Ltd due to the clinical requirement of testing for urea in addition to multiple other analytes identified by South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. However, recently another provider has entered the market and can also now provide the blood chemistry test for urea. The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust anticipate the maximum duration of the contract will be for 12 months to allow for a public procurement exercise to tender for the supply and delivery of portable POCT blood gas and chemistry analysers including the supply of reagents and consumables.
