Hire of construction and civil engineering machinery and equipment with operator

Tender description

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) has a need to hire plant and equipment to enable it to undertake its day to day operations. These requirements have been broken down into the following lots: — operated plant, — non-operated plant, — tool and fencing hire, — site accommodation, — traffic lights. To ensure availability of plant and equipment and that the highest levels of service are delivered, RMBC is looking to make multiple awards against each lot, with mini competition then being undertaken within the framework as and when a requirement arises. This lot includes, but is not restricted to, the hire of: — operated JCB’s, — operated mechanical road sweepers, — operated tracked and wheeled excavators, all sizes, — operated asphalt finishers, all sizes, — operated road planers, all sizes, and — operated lorries of varying sizes. The intention is to award this lot to a number of suppliers who are able to meet the council’s requirements. This lot includes, but is not restricted to, the hire of: — non-operated rollers, — non-operated dumpers — all sizes, — non-operated excavators — all sizes, and — tower floodlights. The intention is to award this lot to a number of suppliers who are able to meet the Council’s requirements. This lot includes, but is not restricted to, the hire of: — Herras fencing, — breakers, petrol, hydraulic and air driven, — Vib compactors, various weights, forward and reverse, trenching, — stone cutter, — floor saws, — pumping equipment, — lifting equipment, — concreting equipment, — trenching equipment, and — other miscellaneous building items and their associated apparatus. The intention is to award this lot to a number of suppliers who are able to meet the Council’s requirements. This lot includes, but is not restricted to, the hire of the following: — High Security Combined Plant Safe and 8 Seater Welfare Unit, — High Security Plant Safe. The intention is to award this lot to 1-2 suppliers. This lot includes, but is not restricted to, the hire of the following: — 2 way battery operated traffic lights, including relevant Chapter 8 signage, — 3 way battery operated traffic lights, including relevant Chapter 8 signage, — 4 way battery operated traffic lights, including relevant Chapter 8 signage, — stop and go boards, remote control.
