Tender description

This procurement is on behalf of 3 Contracting Authorities, these being, Reading Borough Council, West Berkshire Council and Wokingham Borough Council.There will be 3 separate contracts awarded. The sexual health and reproductive services will ensure that sexual health of the Berkshire West populations improve, reduce inequalities, improve sexual health outcomes, provide easily accessible information on sexual health and treatment where everyone is able to make informed and responsible choices about relationships and sex. The Berkshire West Sexual Health Service will cover the levels of service identified in the specification which include: — treatment and care for sexual health (excluding HIV), — contraceptive services (additional to core primary care work), — sexual health promotion, — sexual health services mandated by legislation. But will exclude the National Chlamydia Screening programme and Sexual Health services delivered by school nurses. Bracknell Forest Borough Council is administrating this procurement on behalf of 3 Contracting Authorities, these being, Reading Borough Council, West Berkshire Council and Wokingham Borough Council.There will be 3 separate contracts awarded. The sexual health and reproductive services will ensure that sexual health of the Berkshire West populations improve, reduce inequalities, improve sexual health outcomes, provide easily accessible information on sexual health and treatment where everyone is able to make informed and responsible choices about relationships and sex. The service will cover the levels of service identified in the specification which include: — treatment and care for sexual health (excluding HIV), — contraceptive services (additional to core primary care work), — sexual health promotion, — sexual health services mandated by legislation. But will exclude the National Chlamydia Screening programme and sexual health services delivered by school nurses. The contract period will commence on 1.4.2020 with an initial 5-year term and a discretionary 5-year extension (5 + 5 years). Total contract value estimated between 9 000 000 GBP and 18 000 000 GBP depending on usage and contract duration. This procurement process is being completed under the “light touch regime”, governing “social and other specific services” detailed in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The Councils will evaluate the tenders in stages as detailed in the procurement documents.
