Summary of the work You’ll be an integral member of the team, drives development of new services. Help create user-focused digital projects by analysing data/speaking to customers/stakeholders, conducting research sessions to identify key service needs. An exciting number of projects are underway which combined will transform the way that services are delivered for businesses. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 6 months with the option to extend for a further 2, 3 month periods Latest start date Monday 22 April 2019 Maximum Day Rate £550 per day including agency fees and excluding VAT This role is outwith IR35. Who Speclialist Work With Working within an Agile service design, delivery and support team of circa 30 people responsible for digital transformation activities across the organisation. It’s a multidisciplinary team with software developers, data engineers, testers, designers, user researchers, Dynamics developers, service designers and product owners. The BA will work closely within the service design team with product owners and service designers to engage with the wider business and map out new business processes to support the delivery of services to our users. What Specialists Work On The specialist will support the implementation of SE’s digital transformation. This service design team are looking specifically at the systems and processes involved in managing financial transactions with businesses who have successfully applied for business support. The review of these services will require hands on business analysis as well as working within an agile delivery team with varied tasks involved day to day. Skills & Experience • Team player - Experience being a hands on member of a multi disciplinary agile delivery team taking on varied tasks • System analysis – experience engaging with product owner and other departments and suppliers in order to map out processes and associated system • Process design – experience working with a team to incrementally improve processes across the organisation • Agile design – experience of working closely with service designers to deliver projects in an agile way Nice to Haves • As a hands on member of an agile delivery team you will also be involved in tasks such as team planning, gathering customer feedback • presenting learnings and findings to colleagues and stakeholders, getting involved with delivering team priorities. Work Location Scottish Enterprise 5 Atlantic Quay 150 Brommielaw Glasgow G2 8LU Working Arrangments The supplier is expected to supply a resource to work as part of the team. A core team is based in Glasgow city centre and work standard working hours of 9-5 Mon-Fri. It is expected that the resource would be available for physical meetings and coworking at regular scheduled times but remote working is available as long as delivery is not affected. Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard level clearance is required for this role. There is an incumbent onsite, we don't know if the incumbent is reapplying in this process as we don't have site of who applies until after the deadline has passed. 3. Will you sponsor / support the BPSS clearance for successful candidate? No we will not sponsor/support the BPPS clearance, this will be for the successful candidate to do. 4. When it says "How many specialists to evaluate?" and indicates 3, please can you clarify if this means a maximum of 3 candidates can be introduced as potential options, or otherwise. It means we are only looking to take 3 candidates through from all of the submissions to the evaluation stage. We will follow the DOS shortlisting process to do so.
