BEH MHT Mental Health Contract- Modification to the block mental health contract

Modification Notice Original description: Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust are Barnet CCG's main provider for local mental health services and the Trust provides a wide range of mental health services for Barnet patients. The block mental health contract covers the provision of a wide range of mental health services for people of all ages; predominantly to residents of the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Specialist mental health services are provided within the core boroughs and across north London. Enfield CCG are the co-ordinating commissioner for mental health services on behalf of itself, Barnet Clinical CCG and Haringey CCG and Associates Description of the modifications Barnet CCGs Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Service currently sits outside of the main menthal Health Contract delivered by BEHMHT. Incorporating this into the main contract will provide stability to service delivery, prevent fragmentation in the patient pathway and ensure that the commissioned mental health offer for Barnet patients is strengthened. The service will be better integrated into the wider local mental health service in place for Barnet patients and across the boroughs Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor: Commissioning the core Improving Access to Psychological Service via the block mental health contract, the service will be better integrated into the wider local mental health service provision in place for Barnet patients and across the three boroughs. Integrating the service into the block contract will also provide new opportunities for the IAPT service for Barnet patients to take advantage of new and innovative ways of working which include new service delivery models and technology.
