Tender description

The purpose of this procurement is to establish a multi-supplier framework arrangement for the creation and supply of NetCat catalogue data to the British Library. Work-packages of varying quantity and content type will be defined by the British Library. Details of individual work-packages including sample data will be made available to all suppliers accepted into the framework. Contracts to fulfil the requirements of individual work-packages will be formed under the framework arrangement via further competition (mini-tender). Currently the estimated total quantity of records likely to be processed under the core work-package of this framework arrangement is in the region of 10,000 per annum, but this figure may vary. Suppliers accepted into the framework will be expected to provide a per record unit cost that can be ‘scaled’ or discounted when applied to increased quantities to maximise the value for money aspect of the contract.
