Tender description

Irish Water is requesting tenders to establish a multi-supplier framework for the provision of all required works and services associated with major process, MEICA and DBO Works (incorporating associated civil works) to support the delivery of the Irish Water’s capital investment plan. It is envisaged that these works will be carried out in a planned manner where work packages are identified in advance of each call off. Irish Water intends to enter into a Framework Agreement up to a maximum of fifteen (15) suppliers for each of the following lots. Lot 1: Design, build and operate of water treatment, distribution systems and ancillaries; Lot 2: Design, build and operate of wastewater treatment, collection systems and ancillaries. Lot 1: Design, build and operation of new water treatment plant facilities, reservoirs, booster stations for pumping/disinfection — including intake works, borehole development and establishment, settlement tanks, filtration systems, disinfection systems, filter backwash water treatment, sludge treatment facilities, chemical storage and dosing systems, clear water storage, pumping facilities, water quality and other monitoring equipment, instrumentation, control and automation systems; in part or in whole. Upgrading/expansion works involving design, build and operation of existing water treatment plant facilities, reservoirs, booster stations for pumping/disinfection — including intake works, settlement tanks, filtration systems, disinfection systems, filter backwash water treatment, sludge treatment facilities, clear water storage, pumping facilities, water quality and other monitoring equipment, Instrumentation, control and automation systems; in part or in whole. Bundled contracts which incorporates some or all elements of above. Operation of water treatment plant facilities, reservoirs, booster stations for pumping/disinfection; fulfilment of role of “Step-in” contractor in circumstances where Irish Water has had to terminate an existing contract; pilot plant installation, testing and evaluation; installations for energy efficiency/sustainability; optimisation of treatment processes; distribution system modelling, including fate of water quality parameters; raw water and distribution system: analysis/modelling and design including water hammer/surge analysis on water main and rising mains; operation of raw water and distribution systems; Incorporation of plant and materials from third party component frameworks/incorporation of free issue and or self-procured plant and materials from third party, Irish Water component Framework Agreements. Lot 2: Design, build and operation of new wastewater treatment plant facilities, storm water retention tanks, pumping stations — including intake works, structures and equipment to facilitate primary, secondary and advanced treatment, sludge treatment facilities, odour abatement systems, pumping facilities, water quality and other monitoring equipment, instrumentation, control and automation systems; in part or in whole. Upgrading/expansion works involving design, build and operation of existing wastewater treatment plant facilities, storm water retention tanks, pumping stations — including intake works, structures and equipment to facilitate primary, secondary and advanced treatment, sludge treatment facilities, chemical storage and dosing systems, odour abatement systems, pumping facilities, water quality and other monitoring equipment, instrumentation, control and automation systems; in part or in whole. Design, build and operation of new, upgrading or repair of marine outfalls and overflows, in part or in whole. Bundled contracts which incorporates some or all elements of above. Operation of wastewater treatment plant facilities, storm water retention tanks, pumping stations; fulfilment of role of “Step-in” contractor in circumstances where Irish Water has had to terminate an existing contract; pilot plant installation, testing and evaluation; installations for energy efficiency/sustainability; optimisation of treatment processes; collection system modelling, including fate of water quality parameters; collection system optimisation analysis/modelling, including water hammer/surge analysis; incorporation of plant and materials from third party component frameworks/incorporation of free issue and or self-procured plant and materials from third party, Irish Water component Framework Agreements.
