Tender description

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy had a requirement for, to understand how new technologies diffuse through the economy and is vital to the successful execution of numerous planned policy interventions; to better target and structure these interventions. The scope of the work is to analyse 'job advert' data to identify new technologies and how they are diffused amongst UK companies. The end product will include the analytical methodology and a user friendly interactive dashboard made available to BEIS policy colleagues to: • visualise how pre-defined sets of technologies diffuse over place and time, plotted geographically. • visualise the evolution of technologies used by pre-defined cohorts of firms over time. • make dynamic queries of the data, such as searching for the appearance of new technologies among a user-selected group of firms or in a particular geography.
