Shared History & Culture Programme – Facilitator for Downpatrick Gaol History Project: Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area under the Building Positive Relations Programme within PEACE IV Local Action Plan Competent Facilitators are hereby invited to tender a programme of engagement to raise awareness of the history of crime and punishment in County Down and the role of the County Gaol in the period 1796-1830 which falls under the Building Positive Relations theme. This programme is aimed at dispelling myths and perceptions to provide understanding on how our past links to our future. This is aimed at taking learning from the past and building it into our future learning & approaches to culturally clashing situations. The project is supported by the European Union's PEACE IV programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
