Tender description

If and when a competition is held it will be to appoint a suitably qualified service provider(s) for the provision of satellite data communication services for GNI and GNI (UK). In scope, a key objective of this requirement is to install and maintain new and existing equipment and associated data links required to deliver this. This PIN is for the provision of satellite data communication services to remote telemetry sites across Ireland and Scotland. The competition is to include, but not to be limited to providing the following services: — service and maintenance of the existing equipment, — installation and commissioning of all equipment required for this service, — high availability, 256 K bits per sec data links between the remote telemetry sites and the GNI SCADA Primary and DR Datacenters, — ability to run IPSec VPN end-to-end over the satellite data link, — support and Maintenance contract, — cyber security best practice and NIS Directive awareness.
